The route includes segments of high-speed rail, and Acela Express trains are the fastest trainsets in the Americas.

Creative Brief

I was tasked with developing a feature layout for the Acela Express to educate and inform readers about the topic. The feature layout specifications include a 2-page spread sized 8.5 x 11, based on Amtrak's theme colors.

Approach

The layout was structured based on the following design decisions:

A stylized map of the Acela Express route highlighting at least three major stations (Boston, MA; New York, NY; Washington, DC).
An 'At-A-Glance' section showcasing trip times between the three major stations.
A feature infographic depicting the train set composition and notable train features such as maximum speed, safety systems, passenger capacity, Wi-Fi service, etc.
